5 Ups And 8 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (March 9th)
2. Heyman Shoots Again
When Paul Heyman is firing on all cylinders, you very well might find some Eskimos who suddenly need to purchase a block of ice. Monday night, Heyman ripped through the very popular conversations being discussed on wrestling websites, namely, if Brock Lesnar is leaving after WrestleMania to go back to UFC, then he clearly is losing to Roman Reigns. There also have been rumors about taking the title off Lesnar before Mania because of his walkout a couple weeks ago. Heyman blended these internet discussion topics with reality and storylines to paint a vivid picture: The Authority might try to screw Lesnar out of the world title so Seth Rollins could cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase on Reigns because Rollins would be cheaper as champion a dig on the rumor that Lesnar is leaving WWE because of money. Heyman even threatened that if anyone tries to pull a Montreal Screwjob at Mania, they wont leave the stadium alive. The kicker came when Heyman announced, If Brock Lesnar wasnt to spend his summer unifying the WWE and UFC titles, then hell do it. He asserted that the WWE World Heavyweight Championship no longer belongs to WWE, it is Brocks property. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SOpJKNlIcos While the goal is very clearly to make Lesnar a hated heel for Reigns to conquer, it looks like it could easily have the opposite effect of making Lesnar the outlaw champ bucking the system, a gimmick that worked well for Stone Cold Steve Austin a generation ago. Still, this was a must-see segment.
