5 Ups And 8 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Nov 4)

2. Rey Gets Retribution

For a while now, Rey Mysterio has looked like an impotent wrestler. He’s been on the receiving end of a series of beatdowns from Brock Lesnar without getting any comeuppance. His chosen savior, Cain Velasquez, lost to Brock in 2 minutes at Crown Jewel.

But Monday night, Mysterio got revenge, hiding out briefly from Lesnar before decimating The Beast with a pipe. Rey brutalized Brock’s knee before knocking him out with a belt shot, drawing a “619” chant from the crowd.

Mysterio is undersized and overmatched when compared to Brock, so no one can fault him for resorting to using weapons, especially after Lesnar attacked his son on multiple occasions.

And now we’re headed for Survivor Series. This could be interesting, but it also could be a mauling.
