WWE produces a lot of content besides the in-ring product. This could be a documentary, comedy series or a podcast but with the amount of production behind them, it's very rare that WWE misses the mark.
The latest series, WWE Icons, is a run of incredibly well-made documentaries. Each one manages to tackle some of the serious issues regarding the superstars they are focusing on. For example, Yokozuna and his weight issues or Rob Van Dam and his drug use.
Similarly, WWE received great praise for their presentation of The Undertaker in the Last Ride documentary series. It was a dark, sometimes depressing watch about the struggles of an ageing wrestler. A surprisingly heartfelt and bleak portrayal of one of the industry's greatest characters.
Alongside all of these documentaries, WWE produces the Broken Skull Sessions, The Bump and more shows that don't focus on the in-ring action. This is something that blows every other wrestling promotion out of the water.
