5 Wrestling Matches Nobody Wanted (But Now Anticipate Massively)
1. Brock Lesnar Vs. Braun Strowman
When rumours began last year of Braun Strowman squaring off with Brock Lesnar, many people inside and out of the wrestling business were naturally skeptical. With very little ring time as a solo act without the Wyatt Family safety net, Strowman was an unproven commodity who couldn't yet be trusted with such a high profile encounter.
Since then, Strowman's rise as a monster heel has been just that - monstrous. Decimating enhancement talents and running roughshod over any and all competition that is laid in front of him, Strowman has been built up perfectly. Despite being left off WrestleMania's main card, Strowman now finds himself as a legitimate headline attraction.
His performance at SummerSlam was the best outing of his career so far. Not only did he look like he belonged with the rest of them, he looked like he could win. His destruction of Brock Lesnar was masterfully done and placed Strowman in an elite group of men who have been able to manhandle 'The Beast'.
The physicality between Strowman and Lesnar at SummerSlam confirmed what had been teased for some time - a main event showdown between the two behemoths. Booked for the main event of No Mercy, Brock vs. Braun looks set to be total devastation.
