5 WWE Comebacks That Should Never Have Happened

2. Mr Perfect

mr-perfect Mr.Perfect or Curt Hennig was the epitome of what a WWE wrestler should be, he was big built, wrestled effortlessly and have charisma to boot. Mr.Perfect is often considered the greatest intercontinental champion that ever lived and also the greatest superstar never to claim the WWE Championship. His greatest matches include Bret Hart, Tito Santana and Lex Luger, unfortunately their was not enough of these matches because of back problems. After many short departures and returns, Hennig left the WWE in 1996. He would then go on to join WCW in 1997 where he had the honor of replacing Arn Anderson as a member of the Four Horsemen, he also joined the NWO for a short while, he then left WCW in 2000. Curt Hennig the father of Curtis Axel returned to the WWE in 2002 . His return was made permanent after a strong showing at the 2002 Royal Rumble where he ended up as one of the last three competitors. Although Hennig looked like he could compete with the best in the ring, he would end up in tag teams with lower tier superstars such as Stan Stasiak and Big Boss Man. He would eventually be fired later on in the year of 2002 for a drunken physical altercation with Brock Lesnar on the 'Plane ride from hell'. Since this disastrous return, Hennig had a short stint in TNA before sadly passing away of cocaine intoxication in 2003. His legacy continues with his son Curtis Axel who is currently Intercontinental champion under the tutelage of one of the greatets managers of all time, Paul Heyman.
