5 WWE Wrestlers Who SHOULD Have Dethroned Roman Reigns (And 5 Who Still Could)

3. Bron Breakker

What else is there for Bron Breakker to do down in NXT, other than get more seasoning? Sure, he’d benefit from it, but with Vince McMahon in charge again, it’s not implausible that the former NXT Champion gets called up to the main roster soon.

There’s actually a path here for Bron: He gets called up and debuts during the King of the Ring tournament and wins it. He continues to elevate himself throughout 2023 with landmark wins, culminating in winning the 2024 Royal Rumble, which leads him to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40.

It might sound far-fetched, but remember that Brock Lesnar debuted the night after WrestleMania X8, and by SummerSlam 2002, he was defeating The Rock for the WWE Undisputed Championship. We’re giving Breakker and even longer runway here, and we didn’t even mention the Money in the Bank ladder match as another possible route.

Breakker is someone WWE clearly values and thinks can be a player for them. If they decide suddenly that he’s the guy, there’s a path for him.
