The big stars kept on coming after that.

Randy Savage hadn't been content to play colour commentator and occasional in-ring guest star for the WWF. One reportedly drunken phone call to Vince McMahon later and he was on the outs with the market leader. It was another hammer blow to the WWF when 'Macho Man' joined Hogan over in WCW come the end of 1994.

He debuted on the 3 December episode of Saturday Night (no Nitro yet), and stated his wish to become WCW World Champion someday. Ooh yeah! Dig It! Other assorted 'Macho' catchphrases! This strong yet familiar promo told the world what they wanted to know. Randy would be a full-time wrestler for McMahon's competition, and he wouldn't be shoved behind an announce desk or put out to pasture.

Savage still had a lot to give, so that was great. He'd go on to enjoy a successful stint with WCW before muscling up beyond belief in 1999 and looking like a completely different human being. It was like Randy Savage had eaten Randy Savage by then. His debut was a terrific piece of business though.
