50 Best WCW Moments Ever
45. Madusa Bins The WWF Women’s Title
Check out Bobby Heenan's bemused mug in the screenshot above. The 'Brain' was surely wondering if any of this was a good idea, because he might fancy going back to work for Vince McMahon someday. Therefore, being present when a new WCW talent literally trashes a WWF belt? Hmm, maybe not the smartest career decision.
Bobby had nothing to worry about though, 'cause all of the heat fell on Madusa and Eric Bischoff. Steve McMichaels' dog Pepe also saw his future role as Pepper in the fed vanish. Another mutt was puppy pushed instead. Dems the breaks, kid. OK, enough. Back to the former Alundra Blayze sticking a middle finger up at Vince.
This happened live on the 18 December 1995 Nitro. Madusa binned the WWF Women's Title as a symbolic act of defiance against McMahon doing away with the female division on his shows. Bischoff was delighted with it and add more fuel to the fire. He knew it'd ruffle the WWF's feathers, and he was right.
Nobody over on the competition's side could quite believe what they were seeing.
