Birthplace: Augusta, Georgia Obviously, you don't need to get into Hulk Hogan's list of accomplishments to talk about his placement on a list like this. It's just incredibly odd to see him listed anywhere other than California, where he has been billed from for nearly his entire career, or Florida, where he grew up and first broke into the wrestling business. Think of all the big matches and events that Hogan has performed in, and now picture all of his entrances for those matches and events. Close your eyes and envision people like Howard Finkel saying that Hogan hails from Augusta, Georgia. Almost deflates the mystique a bit, doesn't it? That isn't a knock on Augusta, or any city in Georgia, for that matter. It just tells you how identifiable the man is with Venice Beach and Hollywood, California.
