50 Best Wrestlers Of The 2020s (So Far)

41. Kyle Fletcher

WWE Night Of Champions 2025 Cody Rhodes King Of The Ring
AEW

Kyle Fletcher started the 2020s as one half of the acclaimed tag team Aussie Open, and few predicted he'd have the sort of run that would require an entry of his own in a list like this as early as 2025. However, his incredible physical and mental growth as a singles wrestler since late-2023 following partner Mark Davis' injury absences has firmly established him as one of the fastest rising stars in North America.

Aping mentor Will Ospreay in all the right ways, Fletcher rapidly grasped what it took to get and stay over as a heel singles wrestler across 2024 and 2025, to such an extent that he effectively ranked most of the rank and file on the AEW roster and within his Don Callis Family stable.

Everything has been subject to his aggressive upgrade strategy. Even his promos and character work have developed despite the presence of Callis as a mouthpiece, allowing him to connect with the audience on a deeper level than his entire time as a spunky babyface tag upstart.

As the 2020s progress, Kyle Fletcher’s transformation from the smaller guy in his tag team to lone ripped powerhouse should see him reach the very top. His journey - at time of writing - should be studied as the model for wrestlers looking for purchase in AEW specifically. Of the two North American majors, the challenger brand has no choice to but trust the meritocracy a little more often. Few wrestlers in the entire company have earned their push with such conviction as much as 'The ProtoStar'
