Souled Out 2000 opened with a bold catch-as-catch-can match between Dean Malenko and Billy Kidman. The rules stipulated that wrestlers weren’t allowed to leave the ring, but Dean ruined that almost immediately when he slid out following a bit of ground and pound from Kidman.

Oops.

Referee Charles Robinson was left with no choice but to call for the bell. Being honest about it, Kidman and Malenko could’ve just continued to wrestle. WCW was such a mess by that point, so fans wouldn’t have cared either way.
