50 Worst WCW Moments Ever

31. Tank Abbott’s Knife

This was plain awkward.

Vince Russo introduced WCW to the '...On A Pole' gimmick match in late-1999, and the promotion went into overdrive with it. Come SuperBrawl 2000, Tank Abbott was working Big Al in a 'Leather Jacket On A Pole' midcard bout, and it sucked hard. Like, this really sucked. It was one of the worst stinkers to hit pay-per-view ever.

Post-match, Tank then pulled out a knife and held it to Al's throat as the commentary team palmed potential murder off as a cuff around the ear. Tune in for Nitro tomorrow, kids. Who knows? You might see someone get stabbed! That'll put butts in seats (more on that later, obviously).
