Here's some of that 'the worst is yet to come' stuff Nash would point to.

Actor David Arquette won WCW's World Title on the 26 April 2000 edition of Thunder. He teamed with now-former champ DDP in a tag bout vs. Jeff Jarrett and Eric Bischoff, and eventually pinned Bisch to bag the belt. Incredibly, Diamond Dallas Page was thrilled that some non-wrestler had scooped his title without even beating him.

Go figure.

This was a publicity stunt that desperately craved attention from a casual market. WCW didn't really get that, but Arquette earns praise for donating the proceeds from his title reign to various charities. Even he knew putting the strap on him was a stupidly bad idea.
