Charlotte Flair, depending on your tolerance for good-bad counterproductive insanity, is either a disgrace to the Women’s title, or really funny.

WWE’s Dee Reynolds returned to the promotion in January ‘25, and naturally won the Royal Rumble match. This drew the ire of many fans, who weren’t willing to tolerate her as a babyface. Sanity prevailed; she turned heel and chose Tiffany Stratton as her WrestleMania 41 opponent. This led to two stunningly awkward promo duels. In the first one, based on the famous Jon Jones Vs. Daniel Cormier confrontation, Charlotte simply didn’t allow Tiffany to speak. Tiffy can’t get over, if nobody can hear what she’s saying! Spot saved!

In the second, Charlotte was even more childish. So rattled by the reaction of the Chicagoans in the crowd, the 12-year pro simply gave up, and said Tiffy could have the last word. When Tiffy tried to speak, however, Charlotte adopted her rival’s valley girl speech patterns and stuck her finger in her ear. “I can’t hear you!” Charlotte shrieked. “You’re so squeaky! It’s like “Oh my God!””

This, a glimpse into genuine narcissism, was excruciating. Charlotte Flair Vs. Reality was a more compelling match than the awkward slop served up in Las Vegas.

Tiff’s response? “Well, you’re divorced, so…”

Charlotte Flair is a paradox. She is an unprofessional nightmare long ago blackballed for being a nightmare to deal with who also stars on weekly TV.
