6. Adam Cole Helps Roderick Strong Around The House

Right. There’s a lot to unpack with this entry. A lot of crap stained to the bowl that requires much in the way of piss to remove.

Roderick Strong suffered/faked/exaggerated a neck injury. He used this as a means of manipulating Adam Cole because he was jealous that his longtime friend had started hanging around with MJF. A lot of hot, sports-oriented action was going on in AEW in October 2023.

Meanwhile, Cole himself had suffered a real injury, when he shattered his ankle at Grand Slam. This should have compelled AEW to pause the storyline.

As part of it, Strong asked Cole to help him around the house. Roddy, who screamed “ADAM!” in a very annoying way, wasn’t happy with the feng shui of it all. But how could Adam help, when he was on crutches?!

Roddy bought him a mobility scooter!

This delighted Cole, who with the biggest grin possible zipped around Roddy’s house. This, as with many other horrendous AEW skits at the time, was filmed in slow motion. The scene ended when Roddy asked for yet more help, which Cole seemed drained by. It was excruciating. It somehow got worse in retrospect.

See, the idea here was that Cole was pretending to be annoyed with Roddy so that MJF wouldn’t suspect that Cole and Roddy were going to turn on him at the end of the year. He could have turned on him at Wembley and won the World title, but by that point, championships weren’t really important.

Cole was revealed as the Devil at Worlds End. The Devil!

Satan himself pretended to do feng shui at his mate’s house as part of his evil masterplan.

Seriously: how is that worse than being Keith Lee’s manager?
