6 Crazy Wrestling Revelations That Were Confirmed Under Oath

4. Vince Is Rude To Ravishing Rick

A number of inconsistencies and incidents got Vince McMahon off the hook in 1994, but the biggest open goal was missed by a prosecution for not asking Ravishing Rick Rude to take his robe off and show the jurors what a real man looked like.

A ripped and chiselled specimen for the entirety of his WWE run, Rude was another to admit to enhancing his body with steroids under oath, but revealed an even more insane assessment of life working for Vince McMahon when he attempted not to use them.

Then boasting a physique that would have made an amateur bodybuilder blush, Rude was shocked to hear a McMahon comment backstage at a 1988 television taping. According to Rude's testimony, McMahon said he “didn’t look good.” Trying to connect the dots after an unexpected criticism, the 'Ravishing' future Intercontinental Champion noted that he "was trying to establish a family" and "was not on anything". McMahon then told Rude to "push himself", which he categorically believed was an implication from his boss to take more steroids.

It was a damning indictment on McMahon (that would take some incredible undermining - more on that later), not least for his physical expectations at the time. Rick Rude was an adonis - a miraculous cartoon of a human. McMahon's opinion on his look was, if nothing else, a reflection of his viewpoint on how all of his wrestlers should look, given the choice.
