OR: Josh Matthews has finally done something good.

The Josh Matthews & Scott Steiner Vs. Jeremy Borash & Joseph Park match from Slammiversary was next-level good - an almost perfect way of utilising a non-worker, a guy who has wrestled just once since 2004, and two guys far removed from their physical peak. Decades removed, in the case of Steiner. Again, it's deeply ironic; TNA did next to nothing with AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Bobby Roode et al. Now that those stars are making waves in WWE, the same company is doing something more entertaining and memorable than WWE has sh*t out in weeks.

After some respectable traditional stuff in the opening salvo, in which Matthews continued to embrace his inner douche by doing a naff impression of a workrate cruiserweight, Steiner chased off the face team by launching a guardrail up the ramp. The action then made its way backstage in an obviously pre-taped segment that made no pretence of being anything else. Steiner and Matthews gave chase in a golf cart. Steiner screamed "Get their fat asses!" over and over and over again, so often that it created a new rule of comedy.

Borash drilled Matthews with a swanton into a swimming pool. Matthews then tried to drown him before Shark Boy (!) made his return and rescued him. Seconds later, Abyss returned with James Mitchell and slammed Matthews on some drawing pins in a brilliant bit of proper wrestling catharsis, something WWE is also incapable of in this, the blue balls era.
