6 Most Insane Things Happening In Wrestling Right Now (Oct 20)

1. JINDER VS. BROCK FFS

A World Champion Vs. World Champion bout is meant to evoke feelings of prestige, novelty and excitement. Brock Lesnar Vs. Jinder Mahal at Survivor Series inspires nothing but sheer terror.

Terror, because the thought of Jinder appearing more competitive than Samoa Joe or Braun Strowman - a prerequisite, given his standing as WWE Heavyweight Champion - makes no sense and makes fools of the two far comparatively superior performers.

Terror, because at least one of the Singh brothers is going to break their neck bumping like the mad little men they are for Brock’s festival of Germans.

Terror, because the match is going to bomb. Brock, notoriously protective over his character, isn’t going to fancy selling convincingly for Jinder’s rest holds and big boots. Even if he does, they are rest holds and big boots. The whole thing is going to be impossible to take seriously.

Terror, because unless there is some foreshadowing afoot, AJ Styles is currently being groomed as a heater more so than a genuine title challenger in his own right.

Terror, because there’s a slight chance Mahal might actually win the bloody thing in order to drive tickets sales for WWE’s upcoming tour of India in December.
