6 New Directions For WWE After Clash Of Champions 2017

4. Bludgeon Brothers Challenging For The Tag Titles

It's only a matter of time before Harper and Rowan get a crack at The Usos and the SmackDown Tag-Team Titles. This may be a better use of the Bludgeon Brothers than putting them in as throwaway entrants to the upcoming Royal Rumble too; their tag shot reeks of Kickoff show fare, but that may be best considering they're hardly going to win the titular match.

If (and that's a big if) WWE can show some restraint, it'd be preferable that they hold off on a Bludgeon title chance until they've demolished a few more teams. It'll take more than beating Breezango at Clash Of Champs for fans to view the ex-Wyatt Family goons as the kind who could have a long run with the belts. Still, Sunday was a start.

Booking Harper and Rowan to lay out their intentions to become tag champs before 2018 is a solid plan, especially if they then hammer teams like The New Day or Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin on the way. Just keep them away from Rusev and Aiden English, please. If handled correctly, that team could become ideal underdog challengers at a later date.
