6 NXT TakeOver: WarGames Predictions

1. The Undisputed Era Rule WarGames

NXT's take on the WarGames concept may come with an extremely contrived ruleset, and expectations are dangerously high, but the format is built for drama. The tiered entry system guarantees great babyface fire, with beleaguered fan favourites battling against the heels' inevitable numerical advantage, and the sheer volume of talent on display should ensure it doesn't flop.

It's hard to know what to expect. This is the first WarGames match in over 20 years, the first to feature three teams, and the first to take place in WWE - period. There'll be a lot to unpack, and while the outcome isn't a forgone conclusion, the stage is perfectly set for The Undisputed Era to emerge victorious.

Sanity are already Tag Team Champions, and don't need the win, while the Authors Of Pain/Roderick Strong combination feels thrown-together. Adam Cole, Kyle O'Reilly, and Bobby Fish, meanwhile, have been booked like the brand's biggest deals since coming together at TakeOver: Brooklyn III. Their momentum should survive a loss, but winning would help propel the group to the next level, with Cole aiming his sights on NXT Champion Drew McIntyre, and Fish and O'Reilly going after Sanity's tag belts.
