6 Positives And 4 Negatives Heading Into WWE Survivor Series 2016
4. Positive — The Undertaker's Return To SmackDown
This one may not relate to Sunday’s show directly, but it’s a development that still played a fairly important part in the build-up to Survivor Series.
On SmackDown this week, the Undertaker made his scheduled return to WWE programming, in what was assumed to be a one-off appearance in celebration of the brand’s 900th episode. After suggestively claiming that WrestleMania “will no longer define” him, the Deadman gave Team SmackDown a unique pep talk, complete with what was basically a threat that if they didn’t beat Team Raw they’d have to answer to him.
Oh, and he also uttered the words "I'm back" which certainly makes it seem as though his return will be a rather more permanent deal. Add in the fact that during that pep talk he firmly nailed his colours to the SmackDown mast, and also reminded us that Survivor Series is where the Undertaker was born, and there’s bound to be rampant speculation about a potential Undertaker appearance at the PPV this weekend.
Still, regardless of whether or not he shows up on Sunday, this segment was nonetheless a definite highlight on the road to Survivor Series—and a potential appearance at the PPV would only be the icing on the cake.
