6 Reasons Why The Undertaker Should Win At WWE SummerSlam
3. The Undertaker Will Have A New Formula
The fact that Undertaker is appearing outside of WrestleMania season is an anomaly. He's exclusively been contributing to WWE's on-screen product only in regards to their biggest annual show for many years now. Even earlier this year, Undertaker didn't even appear in front of a camera until his actual match with Bray Wyatt.
The story has followed the same basic model for every challenger. Undertaker is the king of WrestleMania and a wrestler will show up in his yard to try to take the legend out. Lesnar, of course, has been the only successful challenger.
With that Lesnar defeat, Undertaker is now in a build to a match that differs significantly from what he's done for the past few years. No longer is he going to fight on his show. No longer is the competition coming to him. He is ceding a degree of home field advantage and assuming more of the role of the challenger in this feud and it will help him as he maintains an on-screen presence into the fall.
Undertaker will be wrestling a few dates in Mexico in October. One of those will logically be a live WWE Network special. If Undertaker defeats Lesnar, then he can continue this 'new' formula and challenge another wrestler to pursue a new conquest. Perhaps he'll face Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship?
