6 Ups & 1 Down From WWE SmackDown (July 29)
4. Neat Storytelling

Liv Morgan's SmackDown Women's Title reign hasn't exactly been hot since it started at MITB. In fact, Liv has come across as somebody who collected tokens off a cereal box to get her own belt. Mercifully, WWE's writers switched that up a tiny bit by making Morgan look competitive.
Usually, these 'PPV opponents begrudgingly team up beforehand' stories are boring as hell, but this one worked because everyone played their roles to perfection. Natalya and Sonya Deville, despite being lost in the shuffle, provided a nice heel support net for Morgan and Ronda Rousey to do their thing.
Ronda's performance was a highlight.
She almost played the part of a grizzled veteran who's sick of Liv trying to play hero against the odds. Rousey's facial expressions were excellent (Vinnie Mac would've been proud!), and the tag match got just the right amount of time to let the biggest story beats sink in.
