6 Ups & 1 Down From WWE SmackDown (July 29)
5. Trying To Add Drama

WWE's ability to turn possible 'Downs' into 'Ups' this week should not be ignored.
Jeff Jarrett remains a puzzling choice as guest ref for the tag title bout, but no-one can blame WWE for trying to add some intrigue to The Usos vs. Street Profits rematch. Jey accidentally hitting Jarrett with a superkick does exactly that. Now, Jeff has a reason to be there in Nashville.
Hopefully, there isn't some senseless swerve coming that reveals Jeff is actually on The Bloodline's payroll. They don't need to go there at all. The best thing for everyone would be Jarrett glaring at The Usos throughout and that getting inside the heel duo's heads as they collectively fear being screwed.
This simple SmackDown segment was the most interesting things these teams have done together since Money In The Bank. It motored the story along whilst also giving Jarrett's role some much-needed context. See? This booking stuff is easy. Ahem.
