6 Ups & 2 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Mar 30)

4. Retired No More

It’s happening. Gail Kim is indeed coming out of retirement to face Tessa Blanchard at Rebellion. This story wasn’t just something to fill time, but there was actually a canon plan from the start. What would a wrestling retirement be without coming out of retirement at least once?

For months now, we’ve seen these two going back and forth on the mic, we’ve seen Tessa suspended for some of her actions, and we’ve seen Gail screw Tessa out of her championship while serving as the guest referee. The Queen of the Carolinas has every right to be mad at the inaugural Knockouts Champion. If it wasn’t for Gail intervening in that Homecoming bout against Taya Valkyrie, it’s highly possible Tessa could’ve still been champion as we speak.

Without question, the match at Rebellion could be one of the greatest Impact matches in history. When you put one of the greatest women’s athletes of all time in the ring against one of the greatest women’s athletes of today, you’re bound to receive something truly special. 28 April can’t come soon enough!
