6 Ups & 2 Downs From WWE SmackDown (18 Oct - Results & Review)

5. Fun Triple Threat Tag #1

DIY Street Profits Pretty Deadly

This week's show had two rapid fire three-way tags designed to set up a showdown between the winners next week. In turn, that'll thrash out who challenges Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa for the tag belts at Crown Jewel. Fair enough. If nothing else, this sort of thing gives those in the tag ranks something to do in-ring.

DIY vs. Street Profits vs. Pretty Deadly was all action, as you'd expect from three polished tandems getting around 8-10 minutes. Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins might be staler than week old bread as personalities, but the pair can still go when called on, and PD know their role as heel clowns who pick and choose their heat spots mid-match.

Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa winning sets up a very un-WWE tag match too, which is interesting. DIY will meet newcomers Motor City Machine Guns to determine who's on the plane to Saudi and who's staying back home. Smart money would have to go on Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin.

Neat little match. Definitely watchable.
