6 Ups & 2 Downs From WWE SmackDown (21 Mar - Results & Review)

1. Exactly What It Needed To Be

CM Punk Seth Rollins Roman Reigns Brawl

There really wasn’t a ton of talking between Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and CM Punk right at the end of the night, and there shouldn’t have been. Being real about it, there wasn't much bloody time for chatter. Roman's entrance took a full five minutes, and it was another couple until he actually spoke a word and invited Bologna to acknowledge him. Say hello to this generation's Undertaker, folks!

One would say that Rollins needs to pick and choose his moments for the goofy dancing, but that’s a minor gripe. He should’ve come in here all guns blazing from the off if he was so annoyed at Roman for wrecking his chance to “finish” Punk on the 10 March Raw, but at least Seth got there in the end. A brawl broke out quickly, and there was a cool moment where Punk thanked Paul Heyman “for delivering [Roman] on a silver platter”. That made Reigns turn to look at Heyman, which left him open for an attack.

All three guys worked a pull apart as the show went off the air amidst chaos after each of them had taken turns pointing at the big neon WrestleMania 41 sign. WWE weren't leaving anything up for debate. This Triple Threat is coming down the pipe towards everyone, and they want you to know all about it in advance.

Truth be told, this verbal spat-into-physical scuffle was exactly what it needed to be. Punk's biggest fans will be deflated he isn't in the main event picture, but nobody can sniff at working with major stars like Roman and Seth on the grandest stage.
