6 Ups & 2 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Sept 2)
1. Bit Of A Nothing Segment
Only one more 'Down' to report.
It's genuinely fun to see Triple H toy around with non-title feuds in the tag-team division, but 'The Game' will need to do more than this if that idea is going to work. Hit Row vs. Maximum Male Models was too short to really mean anything, and The Street Profits running in for the save couldn't erm...save it.
Friday marked a bit of a wasted WWE week for these teams, to be honest. None of them are on Clash At The Castle (for various reasons), and they won't be on the next pay-per-view unless creative comes through for them before 8 October. Put simply, Hit Row and MMM deserve more than three short minutes.
There's an eight-man tag coming, and that's absolutely fine. Running this back en route? Nah, that'd be a mistake. Fans don't need to sit through endless amounts of nothing tags before seeing that bumper blow off that should (in theory) elevate the two squads working here.
