6 Ups & 3 Downs For AEW Collision (March 9 - Results & Review)

Ups...

6. A Nice Opener

Shane Taylor has had some great showings on Collision in recent weeks and months, and that pattern was followed on this week's edition of AEW's Saturday show.

Of course, it always helps when the opponent standing across from you is Bryan Danielson, but Taylor held his own and then some against the American Dragon. The story here was the larger, more powerful Shane Taylor bullying Bryan with some extremely meaty offense - complete with Lee Moriarty running outside interference - while Danielson smartly used every opportunity to target Taylor's legs and wear him down, before eventually managing to hit the Busaiku Knee for the 1-2-3.

It could be argued that this match was a little too long and a little too competitive given Taylor's position on the food chain right now, but this can be overlooked if Notorious is going to start becoming more of a prominent player for AEW, even if that's just as a Collision regular.

Shane Taylor - and Lee Moriarty, for that matter - has had some great AEW Collision outings this year, but Shane Taylor Promotions do need to start picking up wins at some point. That's not to say Shane Taylor should've been beating Bryan Danielson here, but more that Taylor could do with getting a statement victory over someone the next time he's on AEW TV.
