6 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE Raw (17 Aug - Results & Review)

Three weeks, three beatdowns of Je’Von Evans.

That’s basically been it from Big Cass so far, and it’s starting to get monotonous. He told the world his first night back that he was here to “stack bodies,” but apparently, that just means attacking the same person repeatedly.

Monday night, Cass jumped Evans after the high-flyer had defeated JD McDonagh. After getting laid out, Je’Von grabbed the mic and asked Cass if that was all he had, prompting the seven-footer to walk back to the ring, only for Evans to go on the offensive. It wouldn’t last, though, and Dominik Mysterio would provide a quick assist before leaving, resulting in a third straight week with Evans flattened.

If anyone is actually getting some juice out of these attacks, it’s Evans, who has been showing more fire and anger than previously in his main roster turn. But for Cass, it’s been a one-dimensional showing that runs the risk of painting him as an angry big man who jumps smaller wrestlers.

Monday’s attack was a bit more dynamic, but that doesn’t make it a marked improvement. They need to shift gears a bit and move the story along next week.
