Downs...

3. No Choice But To Give This A ‘Down’ For Now

Well, this blows.

Reports suggest that Kevin Owens is actually injured and needs neck surgery, but the smart money would go on letting this shake out a little longer. It'd be top tier trolling if Kev actually turned on the tears as a ruse so he could get Randy Orton to lower his guard heading into their match. However, the emotion seemed legit here. Boo.

Not only are fans missing out on a well-built Owens vs. Randy Orton match at WrestleMania 41, but now Kev’s career prospects are up in the air. That’s a downer all round. If this is all legit, and WWE sources are telling people it is, then it really sucks that Owens will miss out on a showdown everybody was looking forward to later this month.

Orton hit an RKO on Nick Aldis to give the fans in Chicago something to cheer about, but there’s no way the blue brand GM is Kevin’s replacement on 19-20 April. Again, some people still figure this is a work, but it didn’t seem like one when watching SmackDown. This came across as WWE trying everything they could think of to let people down gently and put the sympathy vote on KO.

Randy could have another match vs. Carmelo Hayes, but...is that really WrestleMania worthy? If Owens can't appear in Vegas, then Hunter has a job on his hands finding something better than the bout he already had lined up. This is just a totally rotten situation generally. If legit, then here's hoping Kevin heals up ASAP.
