Bloody hell, what a fight that was between Braun Strowman and Jacob Fatu.

The pair had a killer match at Saturday Night's Main Event in January, then followed that up with a slightly disappointing one on TV a few weeks back (on the 21 March SmackDown) but this 'Last Man Standing' clash was everything it needed to be. They didn't waste time by pretending to work some 'feeling out process'. Nah, they've done that in the past. This was a WWE 2K25 match if the momentum bars were set to fill up pronto.

Braun’s suplex off the production crates through some tables looked flawless, and Fatu’s insatiable lust for more violence made him look like the man. At the same time, Jacob sold how hard Strowman hits by barely being able to maintain his balance as the referee counted the final 10. Now, Fatu moves on to face LA Knight for the United States Title at ‘Mania. There's a chance Solo Sikoa will try to steal that spot from him, although it does look like WWE still wants to slow burn their split.

Finally, ‘Last Man Standing’ matches can be a hard sell sometimes. It's difficult to build drama for the early counts, but these guys did well with this one. They made sure to belt the snot out of one another just enough to make it realistic that most 10 counts from the ref seemed like false finishes. A tasty little bonus should be stuffed into the pay packets of both men after this.

They earned that extra cheese on their Whopper.
