6 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (July 2)

1. Edge Sends A Message

Intensity, intensity, intensity.

Edge has it by the bucketload, and he brought every ounce of the stuff for SmackDown's final few minutes. The way he destroyed Jimmy Uso and sent a direct message to Reigns by repeating his chair leg-assisted crossface from 'Mania was money.

Hopefully, WWE have the smarts to keep both Usos out of the frame at Money In The Bank, because it's important that this Universal Title match is truly one-on-one as advertised. Plus, why would Jimmy and Jey help Reigns when it's become abundantly clear that he doesn't give a rat's ass about them in return?

Edge screaming, "I don't stop" as the show went off the air was a sensational moment that expertly encapsulated everything that's great about him. It married his callous desperation with that old opportunistic madness, and Jimmy sold the spot like a champ.

World class work.
