6 Ups & 4 Downs For WWE Raw (28 July - Results & Review)
1. Seth Riders Stand Tall
Heading into SummerSlam, no one was really giving Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed more than a courtesy consideration in their match against Roman Reigns and Jey Uso.
When the main event between Uso and Reed was short-circuited by Breakker, everyone knew the Tribal Chief was coming to save the day. But fans might not have anticipated the heels putting the Samoans down, spearing and hitting both with Tsunamis to leave them laid out. Roman in particular ate a decent amount of punishment, with Bron doing his leaping clothesline from the apron before the Tsunami.
Breakker delivered yet another soliloquy (uggh), but at least this one made sense, as he knelt over Reigns and cut the same “I own all of this” speech that Roman gave during the Bloodline days. He threw it all back in Roman’s face, and then speared Reigns and Jey through the barricade. Bronson then stole Roman’s shoes to add insult to injury.
If Seth is indeed going to be out for a while, they’re going to need to keep this stable relevant and above water. Having them dominate like this is one way to achieve that goal. This might have been the first time since the night Reed joined the group that they really felt dangerous.
