The six-person mixed tag that led off Raw’s in-ring action Monday night was the WWE version of a match graphic drop that AEW frequently pulls off – presenting a match that either sounds absurd on its face or you never knew you really wanted, but when you see the graphic, it’s all you can think about.

AJ Styles teamed with the Kabuki Warriors to tangle with the Judgment Day (Roxanne Perez, Raquel Rodriguez, and Dominik Mysterio). Understandably, the women wrestled the bulk of the match, as Dom had no desire to get in there with AJ. That didn’t stop Mysterio from getting involved, pulling Roxanne to safety from a Sliding D.

The tag champs controlled much of the match, as their chemistry continues to grow, but eventually Styles got a hot tag, and Dirty Dom got walloped. Roxanne returned the favor from earlier, blocking AJ’s Phenomenal Forearm attempt, but the Judgment Day women ended up on the floor. This allowed AJ to launch Kairi Sane over the top rope to the floor with an Insane Elbow on Rodriguez. Styles then finished off Dominik with a forearm.

As a match, this was pretty basic, but it got the elements correct in the right order, with the fans losing it over an AJ Styles hot tag. In 2025. That’s proof positive that something is working. And then they delivered a memorable moment with AJ alley-ooping Kairi to the floor. On top of that, Dom and Roxanne saving each other during the match should become a thread in the whole “Will Dominik be faithful to Liv Morgan?” tale.

Good stuff all around.
