6 Ups & 4 Downs From Impact Wrestling (March 2)

1. Black Taurus Being Phenomenal? It's Inevitable

Black Taurus vs. Ace Austin vs. Chris Bey was, in the least surprising move in recent Impact Wrestling history, a genuinely standout match. It didn't even need an X Division Championship opportunity on the line to be important; it already was must-see.

The story told here was subtly superb. Austin and Bey joined forces to take care of Taurus, before then imploding between themselves. Once the Decay member came back into it, he was a sensation to watch. His array of strikes made for some lovely watching as he targeted 'The Inevitable'.

With the AAA standout being laid out at ringside, it would be Madman Fulton that played a pivotal role in the match's culmination, tripping up 'The Ultimate Finesser' as he went for his Art of Finesse springboard cutter. One Fold later, and Ace Austin punched his ticket to Sacrifice.

When it comes to the weekly shows, Impact are the undisputed greatest at kicking a night off in the best way possible. Opening the show with a match like this was the way to go. It was a proper X Division match, which is easily the most noticeable aspect of the company, while also beautifully showcasing three of the division's best. Next stop - Ace Austin vs. TJP. Lovely.
