6 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE NXT Spring Breakin' (23 April - Results & Review)

1. Women Be Catty

Thea Hail
WWE

Ah, the NXT women’s locker room, that place where those bloody women just can’t stop acting like teenage girls with their catty insults, screaming and pull-apart fights.

Whoever writes these segments should be drummed out of the business, as they clearly are a one-note joke. This week’s edition of NXT High saw Thea Hail thanking Fallon Henley and Kelani Jordan for sticking by her and reflecting on how fortunate she was. Henley was in the middle of responding when Jaida Parker just couldn’t stop herself from interjecting.

Parker took a verbal swipe at Henley, shoves were exchanged, and a loud squabble and brief brawl ensued, with the rest of the locker room holding both women apart, setting up a match for later in the night.

If this only happened once, it might get a pass, but it’s such a regular occurrence that it’s just a joke – and not a good one, like the NXT parking lot being the most dangerous place in the world. The level of sexism here – with women being unable to coexist in a locker room ever – is astonishing. Someone needs to put a moratorium in place on these segments.
