6 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Raw (29 Aug)

5. Keep The Focus On Rhea

Rhea Ripley

Nothing against Finn Balor and Damian Priest, but Rhea Ripley is where the money’s at with The Judgment Day.

It seems like WWE has latched onto this concept, as the announcers were paying a lot of attention to Ripley during the intros, and the big post-match angle that involved the Mysterios and Edge still came down to Rhea (and Dominik). Ripley standing toe-to-toe with Dominik made for interesting television as she dared him to hit her, then coaxed the kendo stick out of his hands.

When Rey and Edge got back in the ring, Ripley was berserk, threatening to fight all three men until Finn and Damian pulled her out. That just made Rhea look like more of a badass.

It’s weird to think that it was only four months ago that she was mired in a tag team with Liv Morgan, failing at winning tag gold. Now, she’s threatening Hall-of-Famer Edge and choking out Rey’s kid on a weekly basis.
