2. “Rest In Peace, Jackass!”

Friday night was going so well for a certain chirpy Scot. He'd put his name in the hat for a WWE Title match after 'Mania, had just beaten Randy Orton in a hotly-contested match, and he even got to line up some post-show pints with singer Lewis Capaldi. To quasi-ruin lyrics from Capaldi's hit song 'Someone You Loved', Drew let his guard down then Priest pulled the rug.

McIntyre was ready to paint the town red before Damian Priest appeared like the living manifestation of a hangover to attack Drew then slam him on a car windshield. Before leaving, Priest warned WWE officials to stay back and said: “Anymore jokes? Rest in peace, jackass". That was a really nice nod to Drew referring to Priest as a “Temu Undertaker” earlier in the evening.

The kicking was also payback from Priest for some of the violence McIntyre has dished out recently. Sure, both would definitely rather be in higher-profile matches heading into the biggest weekend of 2025, but they'll take what they can get. Now, the fun begins. Who does Triple H back at 'Mania? Either man could be useful as a Cody/Cena challenger in months to come.

If nothing else, it was cool to see Damian scream back in Drew's face for all the attacks and apparent merriment as the big man prepared to hit old London town hard. Instead, his spine hit a car window hard. There was defo a nod towards old AEW aggro when CM Punk walked past too.

How he resisted the urge to ask McIntyre if that was real glass is anyone's guess.
