6 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (31 Jan)

4. Naomi's In The Frame

Lacey Evans was presumably in the same lockbox backstage that Daniel Bryan and Bray Wyatt were hiding out in. She neither addressed her failure to become SmackDown Women's Champion at the Royal Rumble nor got in Bayley's face for bragging like a bully.

Naomi was the one wheeled out to replace her, and she's next in line to challenge the heel champion for her belt before WrestleMania 36. In fairness, it makes sense (Naomi got a nice pop at the Rumble, looked great on her return and has shown before that she can pull the best out of anaemic heel champs).

She has a real challenge on her hands with Bayley.

The reining champ's promo skills were lacking once again here. Her material was fine, but the way Bayley laughs at the audience and delivers her lines lacks real venom. Fingers crossed some fast-paced matches with Naomi can get her over this hump.
