6 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (April 30)

3. A Predictably Awesome Main

Everybody knew this'd be killer.

Roman and Bryan just click in-ring, and they always have. They nailed it at Fastlane 2015, again at this year's version of that event, smashed it alongside Edge at 'Mania 37, and then produced the goods one more time on this week's SmackDown. The best thing about it all is that they get the story WWE want to tell.

Bryan is a superb underdog, and Reigns plays the tyrannical heel very well. Add in some solid technical wrestling from Dan, Roman's usual power-based offence and some expert facials from Paul Heyman at ringside and you had one hell of a headliner. This was pay-per-view quality.

It says everything that three commercial breaks (which could've been overkill) couldn't destroy what these guys hoped to achieve on Friday night. They told a thrilling story from beginning to end, and laced the action with some of the best exchanges you'll see anywhere.
