6 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Dec 18)

2. Charles Robinson Is The Authority?

Also, what was this?

Referees are physical representatives of WWE's rule book, but they're only there to lay down the law bell-to-bell. So, with that in mind, why did Charles Robinson threaten to suspend both Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode for rightly whining about Montez Ford's cheating ways post-match?

Chuck doesn't have that kind of power. Or, at least, he shouldn't. Then again, this is the same company that suddenly decided Adam Pearce should go from breaking up brawls or checking on downed workers backstage to playing some sort of soft General Manager, so maybe anything goes.

It doesn't make much sense though. Robinson has never called the shots at this level before, and he probs won't do so again. What next? Charles coming out to announce main event tag-team matches whilst doing a funny little dance?
