In this late hour, the nuances of the Intercontinental Championship feud really are immaterial to the match that will take place at WrestleMania 41.

Monday’s match between Penta and Finn Balor, and the chaos that ensued afterward, were just reminders of what is on the table this weekend. No fertile ground was broken (such as conflict between Dominik Mysterio and Balor), and fans didn’t learn anything new, other than Bron Breakker can spear two guys at once.

The match was fine, but the outcome was obvious before Judgment Day jumped Bron backstage. A DQ finish after a lengthy match is on par for a go-home Raw before 'Mania, but that doesn’t mean fans should just lap it up and accept it as good entertainment.

As with several other matches on the card, this title bout should be fine on the night, but the build will not make a ton of “best of” video packages.
