6 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Raw (14 April - Results & Review)

2. Off The Logan Train

WWE Raw AJ Styles Logan Paul
WWE

For a while, Logan Paul looked like a tailor-made WWE superstar with a high ceiling. And while he did have a pretty high ceiling for a novice, it’s looking more and more like he’s plateaued, and what fans see is all they’re going to get.

Paul came out to insult the locals and throw to a highlight reel of his best hits in WWE after AJ Styles defeated Karrion Kross, before Logan then laid out Styles with a bit of help from Kross.

At this stage, what is WWE getting out of Paul other than some mainstream notoriety from a certain segment of the fanbase and free advertising on his podcast? Monday night’s routine could have been any heel wrestler on the roster mouthing off to AJ and touting their greatness. While Logan still has flashes of what he could be, the infrequent appearances and repetitiveness of his feuds and work are wearing thin.

The Maverick is going to need to show something different post-WrestleMania 41, because the law of diminishing returns says that Paul is not going to suddenly produce incredible returns by doing the same thing over and over again.
