6. Kross Tries To Learn Styles

The ongoing backstage segments involving Karrion Kross and AJ Styles have mostly survived on the strength of Kross’ charismatic performances, but they’re not going to save the AJ/Logan Paul match at WrestleMania 41.

However, Kross did present an interesting side to the story: Styles represents the career journeymen who toil (and in some cases excel) while wrestling around the world, finally making it to WWE (the biggest game in the business). Logan, however, skipped those years of paying his dues and stands to upend the order of things if he defeats AJ at 'Mania.

Kross has maintained that Styles needs to get in touch with that darker side of himself, realize that Paul will cheat to win, and do what is necessary to come out on top. Their match on Monday tied to that theme, with Karrion using a few underhanded tactics, including feigning an injury to lure Styles in for a cheap shot (with a follow-up dance to show his ankle was fine).

In the end, Styles overcame everything and put Kross down with a Phenomenal Forearm (which Karrion took with both hands behind his back, accepting his fate). Maybe this will be followed up, but most likely, any continuation of this story will be on Kross’ social media, where he is doing WWE creative’s work for them.

While not a potent storyline, credit should be given to Kross for making something out of what could be little more than a diversion/filler since Paul is a part-timer cosplaying as a full-time wrestler.
