3. Women’s Champ Overmatched Again

The title reign of Nikki A.S.H. continues to baffle, as she’s clearly being booked in reverse: a wrestler struggling to overcome two bigger, more accomplished competitors in a high-stakes championship match… but she’s already the champ.

Nikki battled Rhea Ripley in a match that saw the champ all bandaged up from last week, including her ribs taped over her wrestling gear. Talk about a comical tape job. Just having the announcers talk about her bruised ribs or Nikki could’ve mentioned it in her pre-match promo instead of talking about being “almost positive” she could beat Rhea.

The match itself had Ripley in control for much of it, with Nikki getting a couple of hope spots until Charlotte Flair entered for the DQ, laying out both opponents. Why not? We needed to be reminded that this is Charlotte’s world and we just live in it.

So once again, that’s your Raw Women’s Champion talking about maybe hopefully hanging in there in a match as the underdog and then holding on for dear life.
