6 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Dec 6)

4. Dolph Ziggler Vying For Revenge

It's true that WWE usually ignore what happened on prior shows and press the soft reset button wherever they can. The writers and Dolph Ziggler deserve a bit of credit then for acknowledging last week's SmackDown and what happened to Robert Roode at the hands of Roman Reigns.

It made perfect sense that Dolph would be out for revenge.

During the main event, he did everything in his power to injure Reigns and put him on the shelf like the babyface had done to his partner. Ziggler raked eyes, cheated whenever he could, rammed Reigns into objects at ringside and shouted things like, "This is a message" and, "This is for Bobby".

His work meant the headliner's slow pace wasn't an issue. It was logical that he'd want to take his time and cause as much pain to Roman as possible after last week's Spear through the barricade. Great work all round.
