Re-aring Roman Reigns' 'Mania 32 triumph over Triple H would've been a bad idea even before news broke that he'd been pulled from WWE's WrestleMania 36 tapings. There's no masking the 'go away' heat that poured down from the stands in Dallas four years ago - this was a poor choice of throwback.

Instead of presenting Roman as the cancer-beating, genuinely inspiring babyface he is now, WWE succeeded in reminding people of two things. Firstly, the core audience rejected him in favour of cheering a heel Trips and even-more-heel Stephanie McMahon instead. Second, the AT&T Stadium was filled with thousands upon thousands of fans.

That won't be the case at this year's multi-night event. The cosy confuse of the Performance Center, clever lighting tricks or not, will be no match for this Texan marvel from 2016. Why WWE would want to make that clear is anyone's guess.
