1. Roman Finally Gets Off The Pot(?)

The moment Roman Reigns started reforming the Bloodline, the obvious assumption was that he was turning heel. But he didn’t.

Then he battled cousin Jacob Fatu and beat him to essentially make him an indentured servant as part of the Bloodline, and the safe assumption was that Roman was turning heel. But he didn’t.

Then he faced off against Seth Rollins at SummerSlam while his cousins played straight heels in a six-man tag match, and it was a layup for him to finally turn heel. But he didn’t.

On Monday, Reigns opened Raw by walking to the ring and slapping hands with fans while the announcers gushed about how he has done everything on his own this time around as champion. Then LA Knight happened.

After Knight riled Roman up, he went backstage and vented to the Bloodline about the importance of family above all else and not embarrassing it (and him) by losing. Sound familiar? This fired up Jacob Fatu, who challenged, defeated, and then brutalized longtime friend Royce Keys.

And what did Roman do about all of this? He walked out and nodded his approval.

It’s not a “Shield chair” heel turn, but Reigns seems to be finally moving toward becoming an actual heel boss of his heel stable, brainwashing his servant Fatu and endorsing a brutal beatdown of Keys. There’s no guarantee this is happening, but after months of a confusing, mind-boggling performance as “Roman Reigns, tweener champ,” this is the first sign of him giving in to the urge to be a villain again.

But if he comes out slapping hands again, this is null and void and clearly was a bit of wish-casting.
