6 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (4 Sept - Results & Review)

Jey Uso’s arrival on Raw definitely opens up some interesting possibilities for matches and storylines, but one of the more interesting ones is the internal conflict Main Event Jey has to be feeling.

For the first time, Jey is standing as a solo act, without his twin Jimmy or any member of the Bloodline. At the same time, his actions with the stable have very likely made him persona non grata on Raw – and some of the dirty looks he got Monday night bore that out.

That’s why Dominik Mysterio’s overtures to Uso about potentially joining the Judgment Day were a perfect story beat. Jey is vulnerable on his own and knows there’s strength in numbers. While Dom’s familial comparisons were a bit silly (likely by design because his character is a goof), his point about there being no leaders in Judgment Day had to be appealing to Uso, who just got out from under Roman Reigns’ heel.

Joining a stable where everyone is equal – and they all have titles, so there’s proof of concept – has to be tempting, especially as other Raw superstars confront Jey and things get tense. Even if he never joins the group, the opening is intriguing enough on its own.
